What to expect during your Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture treatment?

Your acupuncturist will discuss your concerns with you, and factors such as skin type, previous procedures or surgery, general health status, and lifestyle, before commencing treatment.

Each Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture treatment is tailored to meet your needs and presenting concerns, however, a Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture session will typically include:

×          Gentle facial “gua sha” (a light massage with a traditional facial scraping tool made of rose quartz crystal)

×          Facial needling (with fine delicate needles) focused on motor points.

×          A body acupuncture treatment to address any systemic or constitutional imbalances, to activate the Qi (energy) and calm the mind.

×          20-30 minutes to relax with needles retained.

×          Facial cupping with a mild suction and a soft gliding and massaging  motion.

A course of approximately six to ten treatments is recommended.    Each person responds differently, depending on the condition of their skin and lifestyle prior to treatment. Following the initial course of treatment, maintenance treatments of once a month can be used.
